About this program
The Association of Southeastern American Societies for Eighteenth-Century Studies (ASECS) awards the biennial Annibel Jenkins Biography Prize for the best book-length biography of a late seventeenth- or eighteenth-century subject, with a $1,000 prize. The 2027 competition is open to books copyrighted between November 15, 2024, and November 14, 2026. Authors must be ASECS members at submission, and the author or publisher must nominate the book by submitting three copies to the ASECS Business Office by November 15, 2026; works in languages other than English may be submitted subject to the committee’s ability to assess them.
