Annual Conference Fellowships

About this program

The Society of Architectural Historians will award approximately $60,000 in fellowships for participation in its 2027 Annual International Conference, with individual awards of up to $1,000 to offset travel and lodging expenses. Eligible applicants include graduate students, emerging scholars, international and independent scholars, and scholars or professionals in historic preservation who are conference speakers or session chairs. Applicants must register for the conference, submit a statement of purpose, CV, estimated expenses, and at least five annotated images uploaded to SAHARA; most awards require an accepted conference paper, and the Keepers Fellowship requires U.S. residency. Applications open August 12, 2026, and are due September 30, 2026.
