About this program

The AO Foundation offers the AO CMF Research Start-up Grant 2025 to support innovative research in craniomaxillofacial (CMF) surgery, providing up to CHF 50,000 for projects lasting up to 2 years. This grant aims to foster the research career development of young clinicians under 40 years old. Eligibility is limited to investigators from AO clinical divisions (AO Trauma, AO Spine, AO VET, AO CMF) who are within five years of completing their terminal degree, within five years of their first assistant professor position, or enrolled in residency/fellowship programs, and hold an active membership in a clinical division. Applications follow a two-stage process, with pre-proposals due by February 17, 2025, and full proposals by August 25, 2025.
