AOF Burnett Osteopathic Student Researcher Grant

About this program

Offered by the American Osteopathic Foundation, the AOF Burnett Osteopathic Student Researcher Grant is a bi‑annual $5,000 award supporting osteopathic medical students who have conducted Osteopathic‑oriented research validating Osteopathic principles and/or studying Osteopathic manipulative treatment. One recipient (OMS II, OMS III, or OMS IV) in strong standing at a COCA‑accredited college/school of osteopathic medicine will be selected. Applicants must have completed all aspects of the research while enrolled in medical school and submit an online application (self‑nominations accepted) including a research paper (≤15 pages), CV, one letter of recommendation from an osteopathic professional confirming completion of the research, and a Letter of Good Standing or official transcript. Applications open February 23 and close April 30, 2026; incomplete submissions will not be reviewed, notifications occur in July 2026, and approved grants will be disbursed prior to December 31, 2026 upon completion of required paperwork.
