AOF/ACOFP Foundation Family Medicine Research Grant

About this program

The American Osteopathic Foundation (AOF) and the ACOFP Foundation offer a $10,000 Family Medicine Research Grant (paid $7,500 upon agreement and $2,500 upon final report) to support osteopathic research and education by an osteopathic family medicine resident or fellow, with waived ACOFP Annual Meeting registration and up to $1,000 reimbursable travel/lodging. One award will be given (may be offered multiple times annually); applications are accepted July 15–September 15, 2026, recipients notified by December 1, 2026, with research expected to start by February 2027 and be presented in April 2028. Applicants must be ACOFP members in good standing, enrolled in an Osteopathically recognized training program, and conduct all funded research during their training period. Application materials include the online form, CV/biosketch, detailed budget, research plan with hypotheses and specific aims, title/concept paper, and two letters of recommendation (one from the lead mentor on institutional letterhead); final payment requires a Final Grant Report with itemized receipts and publications must acknowledge and be reported to the funders for two years.
