APA Edwin B. Newman Graduate Research Award

About this program

Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, and the American Psychological Association offer the Edwin B. Newman Graduate Research Award to recognize an outstanding graduate empirical research paper and advance the first author’s psychology career. The award includes $1,200, APA Convention registration, engraved plaques, APA ceremony recognition, a Presidential Citation, and conditional acceptance for an APAGS poster session. Applicants must submit a graduate empirical research paper through the application portal by November 1; the work must not have been presented, scheduled, or under consideration for presentation at another APA Convention session.
