Appalachian College Association Faculty Fellowship Program 2027-2028

About this program

The Appalachian College Association (ACA) offers competitive Faculty Fellowships to support professional development, research, professional leave, and pre- or post-doctoral degree completion for faculty at member institutions. Awards include up to $20,000 for semester professional leave, $7,500 for summer research, or $10,000 for in-year research. Applicants must be full-time faculty in any discipline at an ACA member institution, obtain Chief Academic Officer endorsement, and meet applicable institutional service commitments; post-doctoral applicants must generally have at least two years of employment. Applications, including required endorsement letters, are due by 11:59 p.m. Eastern on October 31, 2026, with member institutions limited to four applications.
