About this program

The Notre Dame Institute for Ethics and the Common Good’s DELTA Partner Program will award up to ten Rapid Response Grants of up to $100,000 each to organizations and thought leaders to explore ethical and spiritual dimensions of artificial intelligence and translate insights into practical, scalable tools over a 4–5 month project period (April–September 2026). Projects must align with the DELTA framework (Dignity, Embodiment, Love, Transcendence, Agency) and focus on one of four areas—K–8 curriculum/resources/professional development; high school curriculum/resources/professional development; pastoral training/resources for Christian denominations; or major public-facing creative projects—with awardees required to present deliverables at the Notre Dame Summit on AI, Faith, and Human Flourishing (Sept 21–23, 2026) and participate in a relevant Community of Practice. Eligible applicants include religious organizations and denominations, academic and research institutions, K–12 and higher education institutions, policy institutes, media producers, and national organizations working at the intersection of AI, ethics, and faith; applicants must designate a Principal Investigator who can attend the summit and submit materials via Interfolio (cover letter/statement of interest, PI CV ≤4 pages, executive summary ≤400 words, project proposal ≤5 pages, itemized budget using the DELTA Budget Template), with no indirect costs allowed—applications are due Feb 26, 2026 by 11:59 PM ET. Rapid Response grantees may later apply for two-year Impact Grants of $500,000–$1,000,000 to continue or scale their work.
