ARRS Resident/Fellow in Radiology Awards

About this program

The American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS), funded through The Roentgen Fund, offers the Resident/Fellow in Radiology Awards to recognize outstanding radiology and radiological science research and requires awardees to present their work at the ARRS Annual Meeting; up to four awards may be given (Executive Council Awards $1,000 each; President’s Award $2,000; Melissa Rosado de Christenson Award $2,000). Applicants must be ARRS members holding an MD/DO (or equivalent) who are currently in radiology residency or fellowship and must be the first author or have performed the majority of the work. Submitted papers must focus on the clinical application of radiology, be unpublished and not previously presented (except as an abstract for the coincident ARRS Annual Meeting), and only one submission per applicant is permitted. Application materials include a manuscript (AJR format preferred), CV, cover page, and a program director’s letter attesting to authorship and originality; awardees are responsible for travel expenses and the application deadline for the 2027 awards is August 24, 2026.
