ARRS Resident/Fellow in Radiology Awards

About this program

The American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS), funded through The Roentgen Fund, offers the Resident/Fellow in Radiology Awards to recognize outstanding resident and fellow research in clinical radiology; up to four awards are available (two Executive Council Awards at $1,000 each, one President’s Award at $2,000, and the Melissa Rosado de Christenson Award at $2,000) and awardees must present their work at the ARRS Annual Meeting. Applicants must be ARRS members during application and award periods, hold an MD/DO or equivalent, be currently in a radiology residency or fellowship, be the primary author who performed the majority of the work, and submit an original manuscript focused on clinical radiology that has not been previously presented, published, or submitted (except as a concurrent ARRS Annual Meeting abstract). Application materials include a cover page with contact information, an AJR-formatted PDF manuscript, a curriculum vitae, and a program director’s letter attesting to trainee status and authorship; selection is by the ARRS Roentgen Fund Board of Trustees, awardees cover their own travel expenses, and the deadline for the 2027 cycle is August 24, 2026.
