About this program
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) offers the Arthur M. Wellington Prize annually for an outstanding paper on transportation by land, water, or air, including closely related fundamental research. Eligible papers must have appeared in an online ASCE journal between July and June of the year preceding the award; reports and manuals are excluded, and authors need not be ASCE members. Nominations are open to anyone and must be submitted by October 1 with a signed cover letter and one copy of the published paper. The lead author receives a plaque, while coauthors receive certificates.
