About this program
The Arrowhead Regional Arts Council offers Artist Equity Grants of up to $4,000 to support artistic creation, performance, exhibition, publishing, public arts events, and nonacademic professional development that foster artistic growth and amplify underrepresented voices. Applications open August 3, 2026, and are due September 13, 2026, for projects conducted January 1, 2027–June 30, 2028. Eligible applicants are individual artists age 18 or older who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and identify as BIPOC, people with disabilities, age 65 or older, military veterans, and/or LGBTQIA2+, and who have lived for at least six months in Minnesota’s Arrowhead region or an eligible Tribal Nation. Applicants must apply as individuals or sole proprietors—not businesses or LLCs—and propose an arts-focused project accessible to the public.
