Artist Support Grants – Arts & Science Council

About this program

The Arts & Science Council (ASC) offers Artist Support Grants of up to $3,000 to help emerging and established artists pursue professional development, complete or present new work, promote their careers, or expand business capacity and audience reach. Eligible disciplines include visual, craft, performing, traditional, and interdisciplinary arts, with funded projects taking place January 1–December 31, 2027 and funds expended by June 30, 2028. Applicants must live in Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Cleveland, Gaston, Lincoln, or Rowan County and demonstrate a commitment to spending a significant portion of their time on artistic work; artists who received an ASG in 2025 are ineligible for this cycle. Applications are due online by September 6, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
