Artistic Projects Grants for Chamber Music

About this program

Chamber Music America, with support from The Howard Gilman Foundation, offers Artistic Projects grants of $7,500–$20,000 for performances, recordings, or new commissions by small chamber music ensembles and presenters. Projects must create meaningful community impact and take place in New York City’s five boroughs between January 1 and December 31, 2027; applications are due September 17, 2026. Eligible applicants must be NYC-based ensembles or presenters established for at least one year, have annual operating budgets under $250,000, and meet CMA’s chamber music and organizational requirements. Ensembles must comprise 2–10 professional musicians, while presenters must be eligible nonprofit organizations partnering with an eligible NYC ensemble; fiscal sponsors and certain current CMA or Howard Gilman Foundation grantees are ineligible.
