Artists in Schools/Communities Sponsor Grants

About this program

Offered by the Nebraska Arts Council, the Artists in Schools & Communities grants fund Nebraska schools and community organizations to hire rostered Nebraska artists to lead online or in-person educational demonstrations, performances, or guided arts activities. Sponsors may apply for three to 30 artist sessions (grant requests up to $2,000) with a rolling/floating deadline—apply at least six weeks in advance—or for extended residencies of more than 30 sessions (grant requests over $2,000) with deadlines on March 16 and October 1; standard residencies are defined as 10 or more sessions. Eligible applicants are Nebraska-based schools and community organizations that must hire artists from the Council’s Artist Roster and comply with the applicable application timelines and program requirements.
