About this program

The American Australian Association’s Arts Fund provides grants of up to USD $5,000 to support emerging and early-career artists pursuing artistic development between Australia and the United States across disciplines including theatre, film, dance, music, visual arts, design, literature, and photography. Funds may cover travel, living, tuition, and related costs for eligible programs, residencies, internships, mentorships, workshops, or other approved development activities; Round 2 applications are open August 1–September 30, 2026. Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the country from which they are applying, undertake development in the other country, and hold a formal host or educational institution offer at the time of application. Applications must include a resume, portfolio or supporting materials, budget, passport page, headshot, offer letter, and three recommendation letters; dual citizens or residents and previous Association scholarship or grant recipients are ineligible.
