Arts in Community Grants

About this program

South Arts, with support from the National Endowment for the Arts, offers Arts in Community Grants of $2,000–$10,000 to support community engagement projects featuring Southern artists in film, traditional, visual, performing, or literary arts. Projects must include a guest artist or company visiting another Southern state and conducting at least two public activities—a presentation and an educational or community engagement activity—between January 1 and December 31, 2027. Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) arts organizations, governmental arts entities, or federally recognized tribal communities located in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Tennessee, and must have a UEI. Applicants must provide a dollar-for-dollar cash match and submit applications by September 1, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
