About this program
The ARVO Foundation, established in 2023, offers a $70,000 annual award to support early-career researchers and those returning to research. This award aims to fund innovative initial research projects. Applicants must be within the first three years of their academic appointment or returning after a break, have a mentor, and meet other specific criteria. The application process includes details on the project, a success plan, and letters of recommendation, with decisions made by an expert committee.
