ASEEES First Book Subvention Program

About this program

The Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES) offers multiple competitive awards of up to $2,500 to support production costs for individually authored first books in Slavic, East European, and/or Eurasian Studies. Funds may cover copy editing, design, typesetting, e-book conversion, image preparation, printing, and other direct expenses, and are paid directly to the publisher. Applicants must be regular or student ASEEES members for the application year and at least one prior year, while manuscripts must be in English, fully peer reviewed, contracted, and at or near production; publishers must submit applications by February 1 or September 1 and may submit no more than two per cycle.
