Assistance for Non-Tenure-Track Faculty Members and Unemployed Members Attending the January 2027 Convention

The Modern Language Association offers $400 in partial travel reimbursement for non-tenure-track faculty members and unemployed members attending the January 2027 annual convention, with a limited number of awards available. Applicants must be current MLA members who also belonged to MLA the previous year, meet the income threshold for dues class B or 1, and may receive the grant only once every three years. Applications are accepted online from early September through November 1, and applicants must request matching institutional or departmental support. Waived nonmember participants with convention registration and incomes below $30,000 may also apply for registration reimbursement by November 1.
