About this program
The American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF), in partnership with the Auxiliary to the AVMA, offers $1,000 scholarships to help offset the cost of veterinary medical education. Awards are available to students at qualifying AVMA-accredited veterinary colleges in the United States and select international institutions. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, enrolled in their second or third year in good academic standing, and demonstrate leadership in university-affiliated or other organizations. Applications are accepted September 1–30, 2026, with awards distributed in fall 2026.
