About this program
The Archaeological Institute of America offers the Award for Outstanding Work in Digital Archaeology to recognize innovative projects, teams, and individuals using digital technologies in archaeological excavation, research, teaching, publishing, or public outreach. Nominations are due September 15, 2026, and the recipient will be honored at the AIA Awards Ceremony in January. Anyone may nominate a project or individual, including project leaders, and collaborative nominations are encouraged. At least one leadership team member or individual nominee must be an AIA member in good standing, and submissions require the project name, nomination form, and AIA membership number(s).
