AY 2026-27 Undergraduate Field Experiences Support Program

About this program

The CSU Council on Ocean Affairs, Science & Technology (COAST), with support from the Jerome and Grace Murray Foundation, offers awards of up to $1,500 to help CSU undergraduates participate in ocean and coastal fieldwork or field courses worldwide during July 2026–August 2027. Funds may support personal field gear, travel, and eligible additional course fees, with approximately $45,000 available overall. Applicants must be matriculated CSU undergraduate students participating through a CSU class, CSU faculty-led research project, or an accredited institution’s field course, and may receive up to $1,500 total during their undergraduate career. Priority is given to students with little or no field experience and demonstrated financial need; applications require financial-aid verification and, when applicable, CSU faculty endorsement.
