About this program
The Beginning Farmer Tax Credit (BFTC), offered through Pennsylvania’s Department of Community & Economic Development in consultation with the Departments of Agriculture and Revenue, provides state tax credits to owners of agricultural assets. The credit supports owners who sell or rent agricultural assets to beginning farmers. Eligible applicants include individuals, trusts, and pass-through entities that own the qualifying agricultural assets.
