Belmont Forum - OCEAN 2: Towards the Ocean We Want

About this program

The Belmont Forum, an international partnership of research funders with ANR as a participating agency, is soliciting transdisciplinary, international consortia for the OCEAN 2 CRA “Towards the Ocean We Want” to support co‑created, co‑designed and co‑implemented research and solutions for ocean biodiversity and ecosystem sustainability, formally contributing to the UN Decade of Ocean Science. Projects must target at least one priority theme: Biodiversity Conservation and Nature‑Based Solutions; Ocean‑Biodiversity‑Climate Integration; or Nature Futures, Ocean Governance and Ethics for Sustainability. Applicants should form transdisciplinary international teams that include researchers, policy makers, civil society and other stakeholders, and partners seeking ANR funding must comply with the ANR’s national participation modalities and financial regulations.
