Biotechnology Regulatory Fellowship Program

About this program

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, with support from Eric and Wendy Schmidt by recommendation of Schmidt Sciences and the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, offers six-month, full-time Biotechnology Regulatory Fellowships for early-career professionals. Fellows receive a stipend and participate in seminars, federal agency engagements, and capstone projects addressing regulatory pathways for emerging biotechnology products. The program selects 12 fellows annually for an in-person term and is intended for applicants seeking to develop expertise spanning biotechnology, regulation, policy, and related fields. Applications for the 2027 cohort are open from June 1 through August 31, 2026.
