Biotechnology Regulatory Fellowship Program

About this program

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s Committee on Science, Technology, and Law offers six-month, full-time Biotechnology Regulatory Fellowships for early-career professionals developing regulatory frameworks for emerging biotechnology products. Fellows receive a $70,000 stipend and participate in seminars, horizon scanning, agency mentoring, and multidisciplinary capstone projects in Washington, D.C. Applicants should be early-career professionals with relevant scientific, engineering, medical, legal, policy, or regulatory expertise and must be able to commit to the full-time fellowship from February 1 through July 31, 2027. Applications are due August 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time.
