Bonnie J. McCay Junior Scholar Award – Anthropology & Environment Society

About this program

The Anthropology & Environment Society (A&E), a section of the American Anthropological Association, offers the Bonnie J. McCay Junior Scholar Award to recognize and encourage early-career scholarship in anthropology and the environment; the one-time prize is $250 and the winner will be announced at the AAA Annual Meeting. Eligible nominees must have received a Ph.D. within the last five years, and the entry must be a refereed journal article published in the last two calendar years and available at least in galley or page-proof form; co-authored works are acceptable if the nominee is the lead author. Nominations may be submitted by anthropologists, colleagues in other disciplines, or by authors themselves, and should be sent to Jerry Zee (zeej@princeton.edu) by the deadline (Sept. 1, 2025); A&E award committees follow NSF conflict-of-interest guidelines.
