About this program
The Committee on Psychoanalysis and the Academy of the American Psychoanalytic Association offers a $500 Book Prize recognizing an English-language book that advances engagement between psychoanalysis and the humanities or social sciences. Eligible books must have a 2025 or 2026 copyright, address a broadly inclusive audience beyond clinical psychoanalysis, and focus on fields such as history, literature, philosophy, anthropology, sociology, political science, or the arts. Applicants must submit three print copies by 5:00 p.m. ET on September 30; ebook submissions are not accepted.
