About this program

The Alzheimer’s Association’s Bridge Funding for Disrupted Neurodegenerative Research Grant Program supports continuity of research and career development for early-career investigators whose projects have been disrupted by changes in U.S. federal funding. Awards may provide up to $250,000 for three to 12 months of salary and other direct research costs for U.S. and international projects. Applicants must be within seven years of NIH Early Stage Investigator designation and document the federal funding disruption with agency reviews, communications, or summary statements; projects rejected solely due to payline cutoffs are ineligible. Institutions must provide up to 25% cost share, and applicants must submit a letter of intent by one of the listed deadlines through ProposalCentral.
