Bridging to Success Award for Pediatric Physician-Scientists

About this program

The Society for Pediatric Research (SPR) offers the Bridging to Success Award to support pediatric physician-scientists and researchers preparing competitive resubmissions of NIH or AHRQ career development or other eligible grant applications. Up to four recipients annually receive $40,000, matched by their sponsoring institution, to support salary and/or research over two years, with 75% protected research effort required; deadlines are March 2 and September 2. Applicants must hold an eligible clinical or research degree, be SPR Active or Emerging to Established members, and have a fully reviewed A0 or A1, K08, K23, AHRQ K08/K01, or K99/R00 application with a Summary Statement dated within the previous two calendar years. Applications require institutional matching and commitment, the relevant Specific Aims and Summary Statement, and, if selected as finalists, a complete revised application and plans addressing reviewer concerns.
