C. Brian Rose AIA/DAI Exchange Fellowship for Study in the U.S.

About this program

The Archaeological Institute of America offers the C. Brian Rose AIA/DAI Exchange Fellowship to support postdoctoral archaeological research by Deutsches Archäologisches Institut (DAI) employees and eligible project collaborators during fall 2027 or spring 2028 at the University of Cincinnati or UCLA. The fellowship provides travel support, housing or a housing allowance, library access, and a living-expense stipend for a minimum two-month residence, along with opportunities to lecture and engage with the host institution. Applicants must be DAI-employed archaeologists with a PhD or architects with a diploma and demonstrated professional competence; project collaborators must document long-term participation in a current DAI project and submit a supervisor’s recommendation. Applications, including a CV, publication list, two references, and required collaborator materials, are due November 1, 2026, with selection based on scholarly promise and the proposed research.
