C. Brian Rose AIA/DAI Exchange Fellowship — Study in the U.S.

About this program

The Archaeological Institute of America (AIA) offers the C. Brian Rose AIA/DAI Exchange Fellowship for archaeologists employed by the Deutsches Archäologisches Institut (DAI) or project collaborators with temporary DAI contracts to support post‑doctoral research and promote scholarly exchange through a semester‑long residency at the University of Cincinnati (fall 2026 or spring 2027). The fellowship provides travel, university housing or a housing allowance, library privileges, and a living stipend; fellows must reside at least two months (full term encouraged), deliver at least one lecture, and engage in the host institution’s intellectual life. Applicants must hold a PhD (archaeologists) or diploma (architects) and demonstrate professional competence; project collaborators must submit a brief description of their DAI project and a letter of recommendation from a DAI supervisor. Applications (online form, CV with publications, and two references) and any required DAI supervisor letter are due by November 1, 2026, and selection favors scholarly promise with preference for early‑career candidates.
