CAMWS High School Latin Translation Exam

About this program

The Classical Association of the Middle West and South (CAMWS) offers Latin Translation Exams for high school and homeschooled students, providing cash prizes, classical book awards, and certificates of commendation. The top 10 Intermediate Exam participants receive $50 each, while the top 10 Advanced Exam participants receive $250 each. The Intermediate Exam is intended for students in Latin Two or Three, and the Advanced Exam is open to students in Latin Four and beyond with substantial experience translating authentic Latin. Exams are administered by late November or early December, and registration is due October 31; administering teachers must be CAMWS individual members, or their schools must hold institutional membership or subscribe to The Classical Journal.
