About this program

Blood Cancer United (formerly the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society) offers Career Development Program grants to support salary costs for researchers pursuing basic, translational, or clinical research on hematologic malignancies and relevant premalignant conditions. Awards range from Fellow and Special Fellow support for mentored researchers to five-year Scholar and Scholar in Clinical Research awards for independent faculty investigators, with annual funding of up to $125,000. Eligibility depends on career stage: Fellows must have no more than three years of postdoctoral training, Special Fellows three to five years, and Scholars must hold independent faculty-level positions with appropriate research support; clinical applicants must conduct patient-involved research. Eligibility materials are due October 15, 2026, with letters of intent due November 1 and full applications and references due November 15, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. ET.
