Caring for Communities Grant

About this program

The American Osteopathic Foundation's Caring for Communities Grant awards $5,000–$25,000 to osteopathic physicians and osteopathically centric U.S. 501(c)(3) health centers to support 12–36 month projects that reduce health disparities and improve care for underserved populations. Preference is given to projects that launch new programs or incorporate innovative practices and that demonstrate measurable improvements in patient health and quality of life. Eligible applicants must be U.S.-registered tax-exempt nonprofits with at least one year of patient-care history, have a DO directly and actively involved in program operation and evaluation, propose projects that serve disadvantaged populations with measurable outcomes, and note that previous recipients may reapply though awards are limited.
