Case Study Investigation (CSI)

About this program

The Landscape Architecture Foundation’s Case Study Investigation (CSI) program funds faculty-student research teams to evaluate and document the environmental, social, and economic benefits of exemplary built landscape projects. Conducted from February through August, the program provides training and feedback, with final case studies peer reviewed and published in LAF’s Landscape Performance Series. Applicants must be faculty members and design firms applying jointly to assess a specific built landscape project; each team includes a faculty Research Fellow and student Research Assistant, with a firm liaison contributing project information. Applications typically open in September and are due November 1 for the following year’s program.
