About this program
The Society For Biomaterials offers the Cato T. Laurencin, MD, PhD Undergraduate Travel Fellowship to support undergraduate students in attending the SFB Annual Meeting & Exposition (Seattle, April 27–May 1, 2027) and to promote membership and career development in biomaterials. Awards cover meeting registration, airfare, hotel, transfers, meals, and include a complimentary SFB membership plus assignment of a graduate student mentor to guide the awardee. Applicants must be undergraduate students—selection prioritizes those traditionally underrepresented in biomaterials—and must complete the online application form. Applications are due September 18, 2026.
