CCCC Chairs' Memorial Scholarship

About this program

The Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC) / NCTE is offering four Chairs' Memorial Scholarships of $750 each to assist full-time graduate students presenting at the 2027 CCCC Convention in Milwaukee, WI; if the convention is online-only with no in-person component, recipients will receive complimentary registration instead of travel funds. Selection emphasizes relevance to ongoing issues in rhetoric and composition, methodological rigor and innovation, and demonstrated implications for teaching, research, theory, and practice. Applicants must be full-time graduate students with an accepted 2027 CCCC program proposal that indicates the applicant’s portion and must be presenting at the convention. Submit a single PDF by 10 October 2026 to cccc@ncte.org containing (1) a one-page application letter verifying full-time status and outlining career plans in composition studies, (2) the full accepted program proposal showing the applicant’s portion, and (3) a brief (≤1 page) CV; recipients will be notified in December.
