CCCC Disability in College Composition Travel Awards

About this program

The Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC)/NCTE offers up to six Disability in College Composition Travel Awards of $750 each (up to three for graduate students and three for faculty/staff) to support travel to the CCCC Annual Convention and scholarship on intersections of disability with composition and rhetoric, inclusive practices, access, and disability as a critical lens. Applicants must have an accepted CCCC convention program proposal and submit either a self-nomination (proposal plus up to 500 words justification) or a third-party nomination (nominator’s up to 500 words plus the nominee’s accepted proposal), must address the CCCC Policy on Disability, and provide full contact details; preference is given to first-time conference attendees and/or untenured faculty. Nominations (single PDF) are due by October 10, 2026, emailed to cccc@ncte.org; if the convention is online-only with no in-person component, recipients will receive complimentary registration in lieu of travel funds.
