About this program
The Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC) offers the James Berlin Memorial Outstanding Dissertation Award to recognize a graduate whose dissertation significantly enhances the educational process in composition studies or contributes to the field's knowledge through research or scholarly inquiry. Eligible applicants must have had their dissertations accepted in 2024 or 2025, and each dissertation may be nominated only once during its two-year eligibility period. Applicants must submit a title page, abstract, 10-page summary, and a full copy of the dissertation by September 1, 2025.
