CCCC Writing Program of Excellence Award

About this program

The Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC), a constituent organization of the National Council of Teachers of English, offers the Writing Program of Excellence Award to recognize writing programs demonstrating sustained improvement, innovation, effective operation, and documented excellence. Eligible programs include first-year, developmental, ESL, writing-across-the-curriculum, writing center, and other coherent writing instruction programs. Programs must address student and institutional needs, support professional development and contingent faculty, use current best practices, maintain effective assessment and placement procedures, model diversity, and be led by an academically credentialed writing professional. Applications of no more than 30 pages, including supporting materials, must be submitted to cccc@ncte.org by August 31, 2026.
