Center for the History of Family Medicine Oral History Grant

About this program

The AAFP Foundation’s Center for the History of Family Medicine offers one annual grant of up to $3,000 to support oral history projects focused on family medicine, including interview-related travel, lodging, and research expenses. Projects must use oral history as a principal source and contribute fresh perspectives to the history of the field. Eligible applicants include researchers, physicians, students, residents, historians, educators, health professionals, and AAFP chapters; organizations must hold 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(6) status, and interviews conducted in languages other than English are ineligible. Applications are due September 15 at 11:59 p.m. CST and must include an abstract, project description, timeline, CV or résumé, and budget.
