Certificate of Merit

About this program

The National Speleological Society (NSS) presents Certificates of Merit annually to recognize recent, significant accomplishments in cave exploration, study, conservation, or other activities advancing the Society’s goals. Up to three individuals or organizations may be honored, with awards presented at the following year’s convention. Nominees need not be NSS members and should be recognized for specific recent achievements rather than long-term projects; nominations must include detailed evidence of contributions and are due November 15.
