About this program
The Cesare Barbieri Endowment offers a $7,500 annual Trinity College Research Grant to support research in modern Italian history conducted in Italy, across any genre. Applicants must be United States citizens and submit a 1,000-word proposal, a one-page schedule, itinerary, and budget, and a CV; letters of reference are not required. Applications are due March 1 by email to John Alcorn, with decisions announced May 1 and funds disbursed July 1. Recipients may be required to present their findings in a public lecture at Trinity College, with travel and hospitality funded by the Endowment.
