Cheng & Tsui Professional Development Grant

About this program

Cheng & Tsui Publishers, advertised by the American Association of Teachers of Japanese (AATJ), offers the Cheng & Tsui Professional Development Grant of $500 to support K–16 Japanese language teachers’ attendance at workshops, seminars, conferences, and other in‑service training. Eligible applicants are K–16 Japanese teachers, especially those new to the field; funds may also support collaboration with a mentor teacher but may not be used to purchase textbooks, and funded activities should focus on pedagogy and teaching/learning issues. Applications are submitted via the AATJ website and must be received by September 1, 2026.
