CLAGS Scholar-in-Residence Fellowship

About this program

CLAGS: The Center for LGBTQ Studies at the CUNY Graduate Center offers the Scholar-in-Residence Fellowship to support scholars and professionals conducting research or developing projects related to LGBTQ history, literature, culture, or broader LGBTQ experiences. Fellows may reside at CLAGS for up to six months and receive office space, library and database access, and opportunities for scholarly engagement, but no monetary stipend; up to two fellowships are awarded annually. The fellowship is open across disciplines, including to applicants completing dissertations, but excludes creative writing and performance-based projects. Applications require a CV, two reference letters, a cover letter, and a research-intent statement; deadlines are June 1 for a September start and October 1 for a January start.
