Clerkship Director Awards

About this program

The American Academy of Neurology sponsors the Clerkship Director Teaching Award and Innovation Award to recognize leaders who advance neurology education through effective curricula, teaching tools, assessment methods, and other innovative strategies. Each award selects one recipient or pair annually, with recipients receiving an AAN certificate and recognition at the Consortium of Neurology Clerkship Directors Business Meeting. Applicants must be active AAN members and current clerkship, site, or co-clerkship directors with at least one year in the role; those who received an award in 2023–2025 are ineligible. Applications, due October 20, 2026, must include a CV, an online description of educational contributions and outcomes, and institutional support from a chair, administrator, or dean.
