About this program

The OMS Foundation offers Clinical Research Support Grants of up to $150,000, distributed in two annual installments over 24 months, to advance clinical, patient-oriented, and outcomes-oriented research relevant to oral and maxillofacial surgery and to support interdisciplinary collaborations. Applications are due August 31, 2026, and funds support direct research costs, with salary and fringe support limited to 50% of the budget and no indirect costs. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree; an OMS principal investigator or co-investigator must have completed CODA-accredited training, be an AAOMS member or fellow and OMS Foundation donor, and meet specified U.S. or Canadian citizenship or residency requirements. Non-OMS principal investigators must include a qualified OMS co-investigator contributing at least 10% effort, and proposals require institutional endorsement and submission through the online application system.
