Clinical Research Training Scholarship in Parkinson's Disease

Funded by the Parkinson’s Foundation and American Brain Foundation in collaboration with the American Academy of Neurology, this scholarship supports early-career investigators conducting rigorous clinical or translational research in Parkinson’s disease. The award provides $65,000 annually for two years plus a $10,000 annual stipend, totaling $150,000, beginning July 1, 2027. Applicants must hold an MD, PhD, or equivalent clinical doctorate, have completed residency or a PhD within five years of the award start date, and be pursuing an academic career in neurological research at an accredited U.S. or international institution. Applications require a research plan, NIH biosketch, training plan, mentor letter, and confirmation of at least 70% protected research time; the deadline is September 10, 2026.
